The Voice for Animals in Our Community
Our RSPCA Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor, Kingston & District Branch covers a busy area of over 150 square miles. We run a rehoming facility near Denham and an animal clinic in Hillingdon which provides subsidised care for the pets of people who meet the strict eligibility criteria.
We aim to promote kindness and prevent or suppress cruelty to animals.
Our role is also to support the RSPCA Inspectorate by taking in mistreated or abandoned animals, including pets whose owners suffer ill health, financial difficulties or pass away. The Society's Inspectorate (as well as providing education, information and advice) rescues animals in distress and enforces laws against the cruel mistreatment of animals in England and Wales by bringing prosecutions.
The Branch currently operates two charity shops, one in Hillingdon and one in Denham which are the main source of Branch income. We need to raise around £1 million each year to deliver our animal welfare work. The Branch delivers an amazing amount of animal welfare work.
As an independent registered charity, we are not centrally or government funded. We rely on the generosity and support of our local community to help fund our work. The Branch has recently become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and is registered with the Charity Commission.

OUR History
This local RSPCA charity has a long history in the local area. The veterinary clinic in Hillingdon was opened during the Second World War in response to the many war-orphaned and abandoned animals. RAF Uxbridge supplied scraps from their cookhouse to help feed the animals. The clinic was originally a timber hut and evolved to a brick building in 1952. Our busy clinic is now based on Crescent Parade in Hillingdon.
Governance
Led by a group of dedicated volunteer trustees, we undertake the huge task of managing the Branch and delivering essential services. Trustees meet monthly and AGM is held annually. We employ people who are passionate about animals and experts in their fields. An annual report is provided to the Charities Commission each year in line with good practice.

Questions about our Branch
Who are RSPCA Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor and Kingston Branch?
We are an independent Branch of the RSPCA, run by local trustees and funded entirely by the generosity of our community. Covering over 150 square miles, we operate a rehoming facility near Denham and a clinic in Hillingdon to give local animals the second chance they deserve.
We deliver essential services locally, including:
-
Preventing animal cruelty and suffering and supporting the uniformed inspectorate
-
Promoting responsible pet ownership through prevention
-
Rehabilitating and find loving new homes for the animals in our care
-
Providing subsidised veterinary treatment
We are mostly self-funded with the income from our charity shops, donations, legacies and events. The generosity and support of the public is essential for our work.
How does the rehoming process work?
Rehoming starts with finding a perfect match. You can browse our available animals online, submit an application form, and if successful, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet. Our goal is to ensure a lifetime of happiness for both the adopter and the pet.
How does the Hillingdon clinic support local pets and people?
Our clinic provides subsidised veterinary care, including check-ups, neutering, and microchipping for pet owners who meet specific eligibility criteria. It is a vital resource for ensuring that animal welfare remains accessible to everyone in our area.
How can I support your Branch?
There are many ways to help: you can donate directly, volunteer your time, or visit our charity shops in Hillingdon and Denham. Every contribution goes directly towards our annual £1 million operating costs to save local animals.
